Update on Frontier Communications

The Frontier Communications acquisition of AT&T Connecticut was completed as scheduled. As anticipated, the transition has resulted in delays and disruptions to service ordering and provisioning. Frontier has introduced new processes, and ChimeNet is working closely with its various Frontier channels to familiarize ourselves with the processes related to the provisioning of new services and the support of existing services.

This significant change in the Connecticut telecommunications landscape has already posed challenges for many businesses like yours. Under this acquisition, Frontier will continue to provide wireline broadband services, (voice, data, and video) while AT&T will maintain its wireless and SIP-based technologies. As a licensed Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) since 2003, ChimeNet has been providing AT&T data communications services and is uniquely qualified to work with you to provide and maintain critical data communications services so vital to your organization. The experience gained over the last 12 years, combined with our newfound understanding of the Frontier processes, will allow us to assist you in working through the inevitable challenges you have or will experience with Frontier.

If you have any questions related to the transition, please contact Matt Hoey, Director, CLEC Operations, at hoey@chime.org or (203) 294-7218.
